The largest jar is 12 feet high and weighs 14 tons.
In the Xieng Khouang area of Laos is an archaeological site known as the Plain of Jars. Thousands of megalithic stone jars are scattered among 90 sites that date from the Iron Age (500 BC). Scholars believe the jars were involved in burial rites, and legend has it that the stone jars were made by giants.

The Plain of Jars? I once sorted out my M&M’s collection and ended up with a Jar of Plains!
