Odd News for Wednesday

A very pregnant woman in Alliance, Ohio robbed Wal-Mart and then went into labor when she was arrested in the parking lot. She was taken to the hospital then booked on theft and forgery charges.

A woman in suburban Cincinnati flagged down a police officer and asked him if there were any warrants out for her arrest. The woman did have an outstanding warrant and she ran from the officer and was later apprehended. In addition to failing to pay a fine for a drug conviction, she now faces charges of resisting arrest.

A Seneca, New York man smashed all the windows in his pickup truck when it broke down on the highway, and then abandoned the vehicle in the middle of the road. He walked home where deputies found him about a half-hour later. He was issued a traffic citation.

A suburban Chicago woman claims a tattoo artist put the Chicago White Sox logo on her thigh backward. The woman underwent several tattoo removal procedures and will have to get a larger tattoo to cover the remains of the first. She is asking for $50,000.

Saving the best for last: A New Zealand television host was forced to resign after he ridiculed the name of New Delhi official Sheila Dikshit. Her name is pronounced "dixit."
